Hi! My name is Pavel and I am a game dev veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, having contributed to 11 shipped titles, ranging from AAA productions to indie mobile games.
I like to take on the levels from an initial idea, through gameplay & visual blockouts towards the final look including modelling, texturing, lighting and set dressing.
My passion is any kind of world-building, telling stories through environment and set dressing. I love immersing myself with spaces that offer various solutions and exploration, thus immersive sim is my go-to genre.
I started mapping for the Half-Life series in my teenage years, releasing my first single-player mod in 2002. After the graduation I got hired as a level designer, and soon got interested in environment art, general game design and other aspects of game development. In recent years I also threw video game cinematography into the skill set mix, mainly thanks to the various community challenges I participated in.
